Job summary

fal is hiring a Full Stack Engineer for its Serverless platform. You will build core UI features and backend APIs, while driving performance, reliability, and scalability for production systems used by enterprise customers.

The role emphasizes owning features end-to-end from design to production, collaborating with Product and Infrastructure, and contributing to a fast-moving, low-process environment. This is a pivotal downstream product role at a growing company.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of frontend and backend experience.
• Strong TypeScript, Python, Postgres, and Next.js skills.
• Experience delivering features end-to-end in production.
• Ability to design clean abstractions for long-term maintainability.
• Comfortable in fast-moving, low-process environments.
• Experience building developer platforms or infrastructure-adjacent products.
• Familiarity with observability tooling in production environments.
• Experience with AI inference, training, or compute spaces.
• Background in distributed systems, container orchestration, or cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with real-time systems, streaming logs, or high-throughput data pipelines.
• Exposure to Kubernetes, Prometheus, Datadog, or gRPC.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain core Serverless UI features (dashboards, logs, observability, configuration, usage).
• Design and implement backend APIs powering the Serverless product experience.
• Improve performance, reliability, and scalability of customer-facing systems.
• Work closely with Infrastructure to align features with platform capabilities.
• Own features end-to-end, from design through production and iteration.
