Job summary
Shippo is seeking a senior software engineer to design and implement full‑stack features for scalable microservices. You will own features from design to production, ensuring high performance and reliability of the core web stack while contributing to on‑call rotations.
Collaborate with Product, Infrastructure, Design and API partners; improve CI/CD pipelines; work with Docker, Kubernetes and observability tooling.
Qualifications
- 8+ years in software development.
- Experience building scalable, highly available web apps.
- Proficiency in React, Python, Go, Kafka, SQL/NoSQL.
- Strong OO design and design pattern knowledge.
- Experience with AI-assisted development workflows.
- Excellent cross-team communication skills.
- BSc in STEM, preferably CS/Software Eng.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop full-stack features for distributed microservices.
- Own features from design through production deployment.
- Ensure performance, reliability, and high availability of core stack.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with Product, Infrastructure, Design and API partners.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines and container-based delivery with Docker/Kubernetes.
