Job summary

Hotel Trader seeks a skilled full-stack engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java, Spring Boot, and React.js in a production environment.

You will build microservices on AWS ECS, design APIs, manage data pipelines with Kafka or SQS, and optimize databases (MySQL, MongoDB, ScyllaDB) while collaborating with Product, Design, Architecture, and Engineering teams to deliver reliable, secure software.

Qualifications

• Experience designing scalable full-stack applications using Java/Spring Boot and React.js.
• Experience building and consuming REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with cloud deployments (AWS) and microservices architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and React.js.
• Build and operate microservices-based backend systems using Java/Spring Boot and deploy them on AWS ECS.
• Develop responsive, performant UI applications using React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Redux or similar state-management tools.
• Design and integrate REST and GraphQL APIs between frontend and backend services.
• Build high-throughput, low-latency data workflows using Kafka or AWS SQS.
• Design and optimize database solutions using MySQL, MongoDB, or ScyllaDB.
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and contribute to cloud-native data platforms.
• Ensure applications are scalable, reliable, secure, and performance-optimized for production workloads.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Architecture, and Engineering teams to convert business requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in architecture decisions, code reviews, testing, debugging, and production support.
• Monitor and troubleshoot distributed systems and continuously improve system reliability and performance.
• Contribute to engineering best practices around CI/CD, cloud deployment, observability, and maintainable code.
