Job summary

Pearson in the United States is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a fast-paced, mission-critical assessment platform team. You will design, implement, and test features using Go, Javascript/Typescript, VueJS, Python, and cloud-native services on AWS, collaborating closely with QA and product partners.

You will own end-to-end deliverables, participate in code reviews, and help ensure high availability and security of SaaS applications.

Qualifications

• Full-stack engineer with Go, JS/TS, VueJS, Python, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB experience.
• Experience with cloud AWS hosted applications.
• Bachelor degree in CS, MIS, or equivalent.
• Experience with SaaS development and testing.
• Experience with highly available, concurrent web applications.
• Experience with Git or similar VCS.
• Experience working in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze & design artifacts to model customer requirements; create design models from requirements.
• Implement designs following Pearson coding standards and industry best practices.
• Participate in requirements, design and code reviews.
• Test & deployment: collaborate with QA and end users to release high-quality software; write unit tests.
• Quality/process improvement: participate in group improvement activities to improve process and product quality.
