Job summary

Capital One is hiring Full-stack Software Engineers in the Risk Tech domain, focusing on data-driven risk management with state-of-the-art AI tools and cloud-native microservices. You’ll work across Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, and TypeScript, using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services.

You will contribute to technical leadership, design standards, and cross-functional collaboration with product managers to deliver secure, scalable solutions that empower millions of customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field (CS, Analytics, Engineering, etc.).
• 4+ years of software engineering experience (internships excluded).
• 2+ years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Preferred: 7+ years coding across multiple languages (Go, Java, JS/TS, Python, Rust, C#, Scala).
• 3+ years experience with databases and CI/CD/tools/observability.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
• Mentor engineers and engage with internal/external tech communities.
• Collaborate with product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions for users.
• Define service boundaries and reusable frameworks with architects.
• Drive refactoring and reduce technical debt to improve performance and maintainability.
