LightFeather is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to support a federal government client in modernizing critical mission systems. You will own full stack delivery with a focus on translating complex legacy system behavior into clean, scalable software.

The role involves analyzing large legacy workflows, designing modern platform-based architectures, and adopting Palantir as the modernization platform. This is a full-time, remote position with U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on full stack software development.
• Experience with Java and Spring Boot in enterprise environments.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and frontend with React/JS.
• Ability to troubleshoot across multiple layers of an application stack.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications for modernization efforts.
• Analyze legacy systems to identify core functionality and reduce overhead.
• Translate requirements into scalable, modern designs for platform-based architecture.
• Develop backend services, APIs, and integration layers with legacy environments.
• Build and enhance frontend components using modern technologies (JS/React).
• Support the full SDLC: analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance.
• Troubleshoot issues across application, integration, and data layers.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and improve behavior.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold engineering best practices.
