Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Optum Insight Technology CDS Engineering team is seeking a senior software engineer to contribute across software, data, and AI/ML disciplines, building and enhancing CDS solutions for payers and providers.

You will design, develop, test, and deploy applications, write clean code, participate in code reviews, and collaborate to translate business requirements into working solutions while embracing Agile practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience as a full stack developer.
• 5+ years of experience with C#.
• 3+ years of healthcare IT experience.
• 2+ years of basic understanding of data structures, algorithms, and Git.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications.
• Write clean, maintainable code following established standards.
• Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback from senior engineers.
• Collaborate with team to translate requirements into working solutions.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolve software defects.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning, standups, retrospectives.
