Scratch Financial is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our lending team. You will design and build web architectures across front-end and back-end, deliver high-quality code, and ensure robust testing and reliability in our fintech platform.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, strong Node.js and TypeScript skills, and a track record with RESTful APIs, databases, and cloud-based pipelines. This is remote-first with Pasadena office for optional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong backend skills with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience building RESTful APIs.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with domain-based monorepos and scalable architectures.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Agile experience and comfortable in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement systems within Scratch ecosystem, including multi-step applications and backend risk assessments.
• Write clean, maintainable code across backend services and frontend components.
• Improve test coverage and ensure end-to-end quality.
• Grow and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and code reviews as an agile team.
• Own incident response and debugging, plus post-mortems.
• Stay current on best practices and drive continuous improvement.
• Translate product requirements into implementation plans with reliable delivery.
