Job summary

Everforth ECS is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and migrate large-scale APIs for enterprise applications supporting the Department of Homeland Security. This remote role focuses on rearchitecting API infrastructure, driving data center migration to SaaS, and ensuring scalable, reliable solutions.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required.
• Ability to pass a Public Trust investigation.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of total work experience.
• 5+ years with Java (8+) with legacy modernization.
• 8+ years with Python with legacy modernization.
• 5+ years developing responsive web apps using React, Redux, and modern JavaScript.
• Strong background in API development, including 5+ years building RESTful microservices.
• 3+ years of CI/CD and deploying/operating in AWS or Azure Cloud environments.
• 3+ years with Springboot or other stateless Java frameworks
• 3+ years producing production-grade applications and solving legacy issues.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and architecture of robust, scalable APIs for large enterprise applications.
• Integrate and operate CI/CD pipelines used for building and releasing code and container images.
• Assess and refactor deprecated code bases implementing modernization and performance improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate React-based UIs with scalable APIs for modernization and UX.
• Provide solutions for legacy system migration while minimizing downtime and operational risks.
• Identify and resolve technical debt in older systems while transitioning to modern Java frameworks and tools.
