Job summary

Everforth ECS is seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Engineer with extensive experience in designing, building and maintaining large-scale APIs for enterprise level applications in support of the Department of Homeland Security. Proficiency in Java, React, and cloud DevSecOps practices is essential to modernize legacy codebases.

You will re-architect API infrastructure to ensure scalability and reliability, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver secure, high-performance software

Qualifications

• Must be US citizen
• Ability to pass a Public Trust investigation
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 10+ years of total work experience
• 5+ years with Java (8+) with legacy modernization experience
• 8+ years with Python with legacy modernization experience
• 5+ years developing responsive web apps using React, Redux, and modern JavaScript
• Strong background in API development: 5+ years building RESTful microservices and SOA
• 3+ years with CI/CD pipelines and deploying/operating in AWS or Azure
• 3+ years with Spring Boot or equivalent
• 3+ years producing and troubleshooting in legacy environments
• Git/version control proficiency
• Familiarity with CX and UI/UX principles
• Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Support design and architecture of robust, scalable APIs for large enterprise applications
• Integrate and operate CI/CD pipelines for building and releasing code and container images
• Assess and refactor deprecated code bases to modernize and improve performance
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate React-based UIs with scalable APIs for legacy modernization
• Provide solutions for legacy system migration with minimal downtime and risk
• Identify and resolve technical debt while transitioning to modern Java frameworks
