Job summary

Radical AI in New York seeks a mid-level to senior Full Stack Engineer to build software powering materials discovery, from scientist-facing interfaces to backend services. You will focus on frontend development with Svelte/SvelteKit, craft data visualizations for scientific research, and ship features end-to-end while collaborating with product managers.

You’ll extend a Go backend Cortex via RPC, evolve protobuf schemas, and work with MongoDB.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional frontend development with TypeScript, HTML, CSS (Tailwind preferred).
• Strong experience with modern frontend frameworks and reactive state management (Svelte/SvelteKit preferred).
• Experience building data-rich web apps with data visualization.

Responsibilities

• Build frontend data-rich web applications using Svelte and SvelteKit.
• Implement UI from Figma designs with attention to detail.
• Create data visualizations for scientific research and analysis.
• Architect frontend systems for async data loading and real-time updates.
• Integrate frontend with AI agents and real-time lab state streams.
• Extend Cortex Go backend with new RPC endpoints and protobuf schemas.
• Own features end to end across schema, service, API and UI.
• Write tests and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
