Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Fullstack (Ruby on Rails) based in the United States. You will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, blending Ruby on Rails with React front-end development to deliver secure, scalable digital solutions for federal government clients.

You will collaborate with product managers, designers, researchers, and engineers in cross-functional teams, apply TDD/BDD, participate in CI/CD workflows on

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of professional software development experience.
• At least 4 years of professional Ruby on Rails development experience.
• Strong front-end development experience using React.
• Proven experience in Agile development teams.
• Experience deploying via CI/CD pipelines and with AWS.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
• Solid understanding of OO principles and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with testing and QA practices (TDD/BDD).
• Understanding of infrastructure, monitoring, and observability.

Responsibilities

• Translate business objectives into technical solutions using Rails and modern web tech.
• Design and maintain responsive, accessible UI with React.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs supporting front-end features.
• Contribute across the product lifecycle from backlog to delivery.
• Develop secure, scalable cloud-based applications for federal clients.
• Work in CI/CD environments, using AWS tooling.
• Apply TDD/BDD practices and maintain automated tests (RSpec, Mocha, Jasmine).
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and Agile ceremonies.
• Collaborate with product, design, research, and engineering teams to align with goals and user needs.
• Apply engineering practices for stability, observability, and performance.
