Job summary

NXTThing RPO is hiring a Senior Full Stack Developer to build scalable web apps using Ruby on Rails for the backend and React/TypeScript for the frontend, deployed on AWS. The role emphasizes robust architecture, performance, security, and CI/CD excellence.

You will work closely with product and design teams, own significant components end-to-end, and mentor junior engineers while aligning with East Coast business hours in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails and React.js.
• Experience designing scalable backend and frontend solutions.
• Proficient in PostgreSQL schema design and performance tuning.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
• Proficient with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda) and Docker.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications with Rails backend and React frontend.
• Architect robust backend services and integrate multiple data sources.
• Build responsive UI using React, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Implement and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, and indexing.
• Create and maintain RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
• Ensure security, performance, reliability, and CI/CD automation.
• Collaborate with product, design, and other engineers to deliver features.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering best practices.
