JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Software Engineer III to join the IAM organization.

You will design and deliver scalable, secure infrastructure on AWS, including a Python-based control plane and Databricks-on-AWS, while building reliable backend services and APIs for self-service workflows. The role emphasizes secure coding, automated testing, and collaboration with IAM/security and data teams to enable analytics at scale.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• 3+ years of practical software engineering experience in production environments.
• Strong experience with Python or another modern language.
• Familiarity with React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS.
• Strong experience with AWS and IAM/KMS/S3/CloudWatch.
• Hands-on infra-as-code and automation.
• Solid SDLC knowledge including CI/CD and automated testing.
• Experience evaluating AI-assisted outputs for security and quality.

Responsibilities

• Execute software solutions across design, development, and troubleshooting with non-routine approaches.
• Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain services that support data platform provisioning on AWS.
• Develop a Python-based control plane for platform provisioning and Databricks-on-AWS.
• Build secure backend services and APIs enabling self-service workflows.
• Implement infrastructure-as-code for AWS components and guardrails.
• Leverage enterprise AI coding tools with peer review and automated testing.
• Improve SDLC tooling with AI-assisted development and automation.
• Produce architecture artifacts and ensure security and scalability constraints.
• Drive reliability, observability, and runbook improvements for platform operations.
• Collaborate with IAM/security, data engineering, and application teams for secure analytics at scale.
• Identify hidden problems in operational data to improve code quality and architecture.
