Job summary

nCino, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Incentive Compensation team, delivering across .NET and Angular with a balanced front-end/back-end focus. You will own features end-to-end, influence architectural direction, and set technical standards with a small, high-impact team.

You will collaborate with product and peers, mentor others, and shape how the team works, not just what it ships, while driving scalable, quality software solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of experience/proficiency.
• Proficiency in at least one major programming language.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaboration tools.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in teams.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Agile/SCRUM and TDD development methodologies.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Experience partnering with AI tools for maximizing efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide input on architectural decisions and guide team members around best practices.
• Incorporate automated tests into tickets and mentor others on automation strategies.
• Lead brainstorming sessions and propose innovative ideas and solutions.
• Identify opportunities and lead proofs-of-concepts to demonstrate key functionality.
• Consider scalability, maintainability, and best practices as high-level design forms.
• Identify risks and provide mitigation strategies.
• Help choose technologies and tools used for the project.
• Be a technologist with understanding of multiple languages, frameworks, and tools.
• Stay abreast of developments and introduce new approaches and technologies.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration inside and outside the team.
• Involve in Automated Testing and improve best practices and metrics.
• Support Go-live activities and release planning with cross-functional teams.
