Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a leading financial institution's technology and data team. The role is onsite in Charlotte, NC, working across .NET backend services and Angular front-end components within a modern, cloud-native stack.

The position is an 18-month W2 contract with benefits, and sponsorship is not available. You will contribute to scalable enterprise applications, ETL pipelines, and CI/CD pipelines in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent.
• Proficiency with MS SQL Server, Spark, and Spark-SQL.
• Strong backend development with .NET 6/7+, ASP.NET Core, EF Core, and RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Angular 13+, TypeScript, Jasmine/Karma.
• Familiarity with JBPM or similar workflow tooling.
• Experience with DevOps tooling including Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Docker, OpenShift (OCP), Kubernetes, and YAML deployments.
• Testing experience with xUnit, NUnit, Playwright, iCEDQ, and Octane.
• Solid understanding of architecture patterns including SOLID, Mediator, DI, Repository, and microservices or modular monoliths.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Consult on large-scale software initiatives and contribute to long-term planning.
• Analyze challenges and drive resolution with compliance and delivery goals.
• Build and maintain scalable backend APIs/services using .NET and JBPM workflows.
• Develop performant Angular UI components with TypeScript and RxJS.
• Design and optimize Spark ETL/ELT pipelines and data transformations.
• Write high-coverage tests with xUnit/NUnit and Jasmine/Karma.
• Author test scripts with Playwright and iCEDQ; manage tests in Octane.
• Containerize applications and deploy on OpenShift; manage Kubernetes resources.
• Contribute to CI/CD with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions; YAML-based pipelines.
• Optimize SQL queries and database structures for performance and reliability.
• Collaborate across teams, including offshore contributors.
