Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer in Boston to lead modernization of critical applications. You’ll migrate legacy Java/Spring and .NET systems to modern frontend and backend stacks using Node.js, TypeScript, Angular and React.

The role is hands-on, with cloud-native design and scalable API development. This contract runs through June 2027, offering a flexible hybrid work arrangement and strong benefits package.

Qualifications

Senior-level full stack engineering experience.
Experience migrating and modernizing legacy Java/Spring and .NET apps.
Strong API design and cloud-native development expertise.

Responsibilities

Hands-on software development 100%.
Analyze existing Java/Spring and .NET apps to understand architecture and business requirements.
Migrate and rebuild legacy apps using Node.js, TypeScript, Angular and React.
Design, develop and maintain scalable APIs and modern web apps.
Build cloud-native solutions to improve scalability, security and reliability.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Identify and document business logic in legacy systems.
Apply modern software engineering practices and architectural patterns.
Contribute to large-scale modernization efforts across multiple apps.
