Job summary

Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer, Full-Stack to design and implement next-generation manufacturing software. The role can be located in Palo Alto, Irvine, CA or Normal, IL and reports to the Sr.

Manager, Equipment and Execution Platform. You will build scalable full-stack solutions, develop RESTful APIs, mentor junior developers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve production quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks including React and TypeScript.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Familiarity with streaming/data processing and message queues (Kafka/NATS/RabbitMQ).
• Agile methodologies: Scrum or Kanban.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop full-stack applications for connected services.
• Develop RESTful APIs and ensure scalable, secure services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship robust features.
• Write clean, documented code with tests and participate in reviews.
• Stay current with new technologies and mentor junior developers.
