U.S. Bank is seeking a senior software engineer to lead enterprise solutions and drive architecture across teams. You design scalable, secure platforms and evolve APIs, SDKs, and microservices, ensuring high performance and reliability.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with product and operations, and apply Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD practices to deliver robust production systems. This role emphasizes security, code quality, and scalable design.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
6–8 years of relevant experience.
Strong Java development and API design skills.
Experience with microservices and cloud-native architectures.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and production support of enterprise software solutions.
Provide hands-on technical leadership across architecture, solution design, coding standards, and engineering best practices.
Design and build scalable, secure, reliable, and high-performance applications and platforms.
Develop and evolve APIs, SDKs, microservices, and integration solutions.
Write production-ready code and conduct code reviews to maintain quality, security, performance, and standards.
Troubleshoot complex issues, perform root-cause analysis, and drive reliability and performance improvements.
Mentor engineers, guide technical decisions, and foster engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
