Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related technical discipline; equivalent experience/training.
• 5-7 years designing, developing, and implementing large-scale solutions in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Writes, tests, and documents technical work products (code, scripts, processes) according to organizational standards.
• Solves technical problems and builds components/libraries with far-ranging impact.
• Delivers high quality work and coaches more junior engineers on technical craftsmanship.
• Conducts root cause analysis to identify systemic problems and leads execution of action items.
• Designs integrated systems enabling multiple teams to deliver value with speed, scale, and reliability.
• Oversees management of technical debt and drives opportunities to eliminate it.
• Anticipates scaling, latency, and durability challenges and guides mitigation strategies.
• Partners with security to include security practices early in lifecycle.
• Evaluates technical risks and guides preventive strategies.
• Reflects on squad delivery practices and drives improvements.
• Removes duplication of effort across teams and identifies opportunities for reuse.
• Measures and develops team members.
• Explores emerging technologies and prototypes where appropriate.
