Job summary

NS2 Mission in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and enhance enterprise applications supporting critical national security missions. You will work across the stack: backend services in Java, responsive front‑end experiences, and AWS cloud support.

You will collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable, high‑performing solutions while improving design, maintainability, and system performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent).
• Senior-level professional experience developing, enhancing, and maintaining enterprise software applications.
• Strong proficiency in Java for backend development.
• Experience with front-end development using JavaScript/TypeScript and Angular or another modern framework.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases, SQL development, data access, and query optimization.
• Experience deploying or maintaining applications in AWS cloud environments.
• Understanding of software architecture, integration, and full-stack development principles.
• Experience with version control, testing, code reviews, and development best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications across backend, frontend, and database integrations.
• Build scalable backend components and services using Java and modern frameworks.
• Develop responsive interfaces using JavaScript/TypeScript and Angular or equivalent.
• Design and integrate RESTful APIs to support application functionality.
• Develop and optimize database solutions, data models, and data access layers.
• Build, deploy, and maintain cloud-based applications within AWS.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to refine designs and deliver solutions.
• Troubleshoot defects, integration challenges, and performance issues across the stack.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement for reliability and security.
• Contribute across all SDLC phases from requirements to sustainment.
• Identify opportunities to improve architecture, development practices, and scalability.
