Job summary

Ideal candidates have strong C/C++, Python, Go skills, familiarity with Linux, virtualization, and network fundamentals, plus experience with SDLC and Agile practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 5–8 years of proven software engineering experience with depth in Linux systems and software development
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers and driving software quality initiatives
• Familiarity with avionics, aerospace, or embedded systems environments is a plus
• Experience with machine learning or AI-assisted tooling is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications and automation tools for engineering, manufacturing, and field operations
• Troubleshoot complex issues spanning software, Linux systems, networking, and hardware interactions
• Develop tools to improve product quality, system validation, and engineering productivity
• Investigate failures through log analysis, diagnostics, and root cause analysis
• Work with embedded devices, networked equipment, and hardware peripherals
• Collaborate with engineers across disciplines on architecture, reviews, and testing strategies
• Create clear technical documentation and deployment procedures
• Support engineering, manufacturing, and field teams in diagnosing and resolving issues
• Continuously learn new technologies and apply them to real-world problems
