Job summary

Panasonic Avionics Corporation is seeking a curious Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain software for configuring, testing, and troubleshooting complex embedded networks. You’ll work across Linux, networking, and hardware interfaces, writing code, analyzing logs, and prototyping new ideas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 5–8 years of proven experience in software engineering with Linux systems and software development
• Experience leading or mentoring junior engineers, conducting design reviews, and driving software quality initiatives
• Experience with machine learning or AI‑assisted tooling is a plus
• Familiarity with avionics, aerospace, or embedded systems environments is a plus

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications and automation tools supporting engineering, manufacturing, and field operations
• Troubleshoot complex issues spanning software, Linux, networking, and hardware interactions
• Develop tools that improve product quality, system validation, and engineering productivity
• Investigate failures through log analysis, diagnostics, and root cause analysis
• Work with embedded devices, networked equipment, and hardware peripherals
• Contribute to software architecture, design reviews, testing strategies, and code-quality initiatives
• Collaborate with engineers across multiple disciplines to solve challenging technical problems
• Create clear and effective technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, and deployment procedures
• Support engineering, manufacturing, and field teams as they diagnose and resolve complex issues
• Continuously learn new technologies and apply them to real-world problems
