Datavant is hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help grow our healthcare data ecosystem. You will own substantial end‑to‑end initiatives, shaping architecture and delivering frontend and backend solutions that scale to millions of records.

You’ll mentor engineers, collaborate closely with product and design, and influence technical direction while prioritizing ownership, learning, and delivering value to customers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience designing, building, and operating production software systems.
• Strong full-stack engineering experience, including modern frontend development and backend services.
• Experience building customer-facing applications using technologies such as React, TypeScript, and modern web frameworks.
• Experience designing and developing scalable APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native applications.
• Ability to write high-quality, maintainable code, perform thoughtful code reviews, and drive engineering best practices.
• Demonstrated experience leading projects from concept to production and navigating complex technical challenges.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across engineering, product, and design teams.
• Passion for mentoring other engineers and elevating the team's technical capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications that power Datavant's healthcare data ecosystem
• Deliver exceptional user experiences by partnering closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers
• Develop scalable frontend applications, backend services, APIs, and data-driven solutions that support millions of healthcare records and transactions
• Guide technical design decisions and help establish architecture patterns for long-term scalability and maintainability
• Mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and continuous learning
• Own substantial projects end-to-end, from technical design through implementation, deployment, and ongoing operation
• Drive innovation and deliver valuable solutions that improve outcomes for healthcare organizations and patients
• Share your expertise with the engineering community through technical discussions, mentorship, and contributions to our engineering blog
