You will mentor teammates, shape technical direction, and own substantial projects end-to-end, from design through deployment. We value learning and strong engineering fundamentals over specific tech stack experience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience designing, building, and operating production software systems.
• Strong full-stack engineering experience with modern frontend and backend services.
• Experience building customer-facing apps using React, TypeScript, and modern web frameworks.
• Experience designing scalable APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native applications.
• Ability to write high-quality, maintainable code, perform thoughtful code reviews, and drive best practices.
• Demonstrated experience leading projects from concept to production and navigating complex challenges.
• Strong collaboration and communication across engineering, product, and design teams.
• Mentoring engineers and elevating technical capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications powering Datavant's data ecosystem.
• Deliver exceptional user experiences by partnering with product managers, designers, and engineers.
• Develop scalable frontend and backend services, APIs, and data-driven solutions for healthcare data.
• Guide architectural decisions and establish patterns for long-term scalability.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and ownership.
• Own projects end-to-end from design to deployment and operation.
• Drive innovations that improve outcomes for healthcare organizations and patients.
• Share expertise via engineering discussions and blog contributions.
