Planet Labs PBC is seeking a remote United States–based full‑stack software engineer to help build our global monitoring platform. You will own backend and frontend work, integrate geospatial datasets, and collaborate with cross‑functional partners to deliver scalable systems.

The role emphasizes cloud infrastructure, observability, and code systems, with a path to impact across mission‑critical data products. Candidates can be located near an office and work 3 days on site if applicable.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years industry experience.
• Fluency in Golang, Python, & PostgreSQL.
• Full stack development experience (DB, Services, Web).
• Experience building frontend applications in React.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience with logging, alerting, and monitoring tools to support system quality.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the entire engineering lifecycle, from concept to implementation.
• Ownership of the quality and availability of mission systems.
• Contribute to the improvement of architecture, infrastructure, and processes.
• Spearhead the design and development of scalable backend services and frontend applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate complex customer requirements into seamless features.
