Job summary

Bunch is seeking a senior full-stack engineer for a frontend-leaning platform role. You’ll build foundational product experiences while enhancing backend services, shared tooling, testing, and a design system.

You will own technical direction, improve performance and quality on data-heavy financial workflows, and mentor peers across product, design, QA, and engineering teams. This remote role is based in Spain with quarterly travel to Berlin.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience building product applications across the stack, with strong frontend expertise.
• Fluency in TypeScript and experience with modern frontend frameworks; comfortable contributing to Node.js backend services.
• Experience with design systems, including ownership or maintenance at senior level.
• Ability to work through ambiguity and deliver shipped software in startup/scaleup environments.
• Experience with unit and end-to-end testing and accessible UI/UX.

Responsibilities

• Deliver robust, maintainable full-stack features with emphasis on frontend quality and UX.
• Shape frontend architecture and contribute to Node.js services and platform tooling.
• Collaborate with PMs, designers, QA, and engineers through discovery and delivery cycles.
• Improve performance, reliability, maintainability, and test coverage across the stack.
• Write meaningful tests using Vitest, Playwright, or equivalent tools.
• Influence platform-wide decisions, guide architecture, and mentor engineers.
