Job summary

Sphinx Defense is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to lead the development of mission planning and space-domain software. You will own frontend interfaces and contribute across the stack, APIs, and backend services, while mentoring junior engineers.

Remote-friendly position with eligibility for a U.S. TS/SCI clearance; compensation ranges from $157,000 to $190,000 base annually, plus meaningful equity and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of web/software development experience with modern approaches.
• Strong front-end development with React/Angular/Vue and responsive design.
• Experience with Python, APIs, databases, and service integration.
• Experience designing, consuming, and integrating APIs between front-end and back-end services.

Responsibilities

• Lead frontend development and full-stack features with significant user impact.
• Develop, test, and maintain APIs and backend services to support front-end applications.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers to improve code quality and practices.
• Collaborate with QA and other teams to meet acceptance criteria and release readiness.
