Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, implement, and maintain cutting-edge assessment platforms. You will work on cloud-hosted applications, emphasizing performance, reliability, and security while collaborating with a fast-paced, cross-functional team.

The role requires experience with AWS, AI tools, LLMs, and a strong background in web-based technologies. A bachelor’s in CS/MIS is expected, with advanced degrees preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent technology discipline.
• Experience with development, maintenance, and testing of software following industry best practices.
• Experience with highly available, highly concurrent web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Analyze & Design – model customer requirements and create design artifacts.
• Implement & Perform – follow Pearson coding standards and best practices.
• Review – participate in requirements, design and code reviews.
• Test & Deployment – collaborate with QA and operations to release high-quality software and write unit tests.
• Quality/process improvement – contribute to improvements to processes and product quality.
