Job summary

Trust In SODA in New York City is seeking a senior or staff software engineer to own end-to-end verticals including data model, API, interface and production. You’ll collaborate with finance specialists and work on a stack of TypeScript and React, with Python and FastAPI on the backend, in a small, senior engineering team with equity upside.

The role targets fintech domain experience, a strong full-stack background, startup history, and daily use of AI coding tools to ship production code.

Qualifications

• 6+ years for Senior role
• 12+ years for Staff role
• Fintech background preferred (payments, billing, ledgers, lending)
• Startup experience with stable career history
• Daily hands-on use of AI coding tools (Claude, Cursor, or similar) to ship production code

Responsibilities

• Own whole verticals end to end: data model, API, interface and production.
• Work alongside the finance specialists who use the product every day.
• Build and maintain systems using a stack of TypeScript and React, with Python and FastAPI on the backend.
• Contribute as part of a small, deliberately senior engineering team that hires top down.
