Job summary

Bytoa in Columbia, MD is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to design and implement data pipelines, scalable REST APIs, and analytics visualizations within a mission-focused team. You will own features across backend and frontend, building scalable solutions and collaborating with analysts and product owners.

You will work with Java, Spring, NoSQL databases, Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD tooling while maintaining code quality and contributing to team processes.

Qualifications

• 12 years of experience with a BS in a technical discipline.
• Active TS/SCI with a polygraph clearance.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Framework.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as Elasticsearch, Dgraph, MongoDB, Redis.
• Experience with Git and Maven; Linux environment.
• Familiarity with Jira/Confluence and CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of complex features and contribute to design and development of a high-impact, full-stack platform.
• Architect scalable, maintainable solutions using modern patterns.
• Build and enhance backend capabilities including data ingest pipelines and RESTful APIs; collaborate on frontend components.
• Apply knowledge of microservices and NoSQL databases to deliver reliable systems.
• Collaborate with analysts, product owners, and engineers to meet operational needs.
• Promote code quality and mentor teammates; drive process improvements for faster delivery of data sources.
