Job summary

Allspring Engineering and Technology is seeking an Application Engineer/Full-Stack Engineer with strong backend and data engineering orientation to design, build, and scale high-performance applications and platforms.

The role focuses on backend systems, data modeling, APIs, and distributed architecture, while also contributing to modern frontend development using React and TypeScript. Hybrid work model with in-office 4 days/week in Charlotte, NC.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of software development experience.
• Strong expertise in TypeScript/React frontend development.
• Strong expertise in Python backend development and APIs.
• Strong expertise in SQL, database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Experience building backend APIs and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Agile development environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance frontend applications using React and TypeScript.
• Design, build, and optimize backend services, APIs, and distributed systems with Python.
• Design data models, database queries, and optimize performance.
• Contribute to scalable system architecture and cloud-native platform development.
• Develop and support data-intensive workflows and data pipelines.
• Implement testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and observability.
