Job summary

SRI Resources is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer for our Data & Analytics team in California.

You will bridge data science models and product interfaces, delivering full-stack apps across front-end and back-end, with a focus on data-driven decision support. You will collaborate with data scientists and engineers to build scalable pipelines, productionize ML, and deliver high-performance applications, in a fast-paced media environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience building modern web-based, full-stack applications.
• Strong proficiency in React (or similar frameworks) with production apps end-to-end.
• Experience developing backend services and APIs using TypeScript or Python web frameworks.
• Experience querying and working with cloud-hosted relational databases using SQL.
• Proven experience deploying and maintaining backend apps on AWS with CI workflows and containerization.
• Ability to work independently and creatively solve open-ended problems.
• Outstanding data storytelling through verbal, written, and visual communication.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain stakeholder-facing applications with front-end work in React and JavaScript to extend Streamlit apps.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines on AWS and Databricks.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists to productionalize ML models for high-performance execution.
• Streamline data ingestion pipelines for large-scale data.
• Develop secure, maintainable backend services with automated testing, monitoring, and CI/CD.
• Prototype APIs and UIs to connect models with stakeholder applications.
• Support complex projects by scoping, planning, and coordinating with business partners.
