Job summary

Shamrock Trading Corporation is seeking a Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. The role covers development, maintenance, and enhancement of business applications, collaborating with product owners, designers, QAs, and SREs in an Agile setting to deliver high-quality software.

You will contribute with strong full-stack and cloud skills, including TypeScript, JavaScript, React, microservices, and containerization, and you will help build scalable, secure solutions across distributed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or equivalent experience.
• Significant full-stack development experience, including team leadership.
• Strong database skills (SQL and NoSQL).
• Deep background in Typescript.
• Experience with cloud-native AWS (Lambda, SQS, etc).
• Proficiency in JavaScript, React, React Native, microservices, and containerization; APIs.
• Experience building high-volume transactional processing and cloud-first distributed systems.
• Excellent communication and Agile (Scrum/Kanban) skills.
• Ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software applications.
• Write clean, scalable code following best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners, designers, QAs, and SREs.
• Debug and resolve issues across the software stack.
• Participate in code reviews and unit testing.
• Create and maintain documentation for code, systems, and processes.
• Engage in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and stand-ups.
• Work with QA to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Adhere to secure coding practices and data protection standards.
• Support production systems and participate in on-call rotations as needed.
