MAPFRE is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer in Webster, MA to design, develop, and maintain enterprise web platforms for agent and customer experiences. You will own significant components, work across cross-functional teams, and help set technical direction.

You will collaborate with architects, PMs, and security teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions while contributing to modern cloud-native web platforms and digital experiences for external agents and customers.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of professional software development experience with strong proficiency in Java and modern software engineering principles.
• Experience developing highly available, secure, customer-facing web applications with usability, accessibility, performance, and scalability.
• Experience designing and developing secure customer-facing web applications, including authentication, authorization, API security, and data protection practices.
• Experience deploying cloud-native applications on AWS with ECS, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, or similar services.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and integrating web applications with enterprise backend platforms.
• Experience leading and mentoring engineers.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, cloud-native architectures, microservices, API development, CI/CD practices, observability, testing methodologies, and Agile development.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and mentor junior and mid-level engineers with technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
• Design, develop, and implement secure web applications with authentication, authorization, and security-by-design.
• Partner with security teams to identify risks and address vulnerabilities per enterprise standards.
• Create intuitive, accessible, and responsive digital experiences for external agents and customers.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs connecting customer-facing apps with enterprise backend systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions.
• Produce clear technical designs and specifications for complex systems.
• Evaluate new technologies and frameworks considering requirements, scalability, security and long-term vision.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and engineering best practices.
• Ensure software quality through testing, automation, and quality control.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and Agile ceremonies to support delivery and operations.
• Support performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization for reliable customer experiences.
