Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Full Stack Engineer 4 (Bank Tech) to lead a portfolio of distributed microservices and full-stack systems, mentoring engineers and shaping technical direction. You'll work with Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript and cloud tools in a fast-paced, compliant environment.

You'll collaborate with product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans, while advancing architectural patterns and reducing technical debt.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field
• At least 4 years of experience in software engineering
• At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) or virtualization technologies

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers
• Mentor other members of the engineering community
• Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions
• Utilize Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript and TypeScript across ecosystems
• Work with Docker, Kubernetes and AWS tools to deploy services
• Provide technical leadership and establish design and coding standards
