Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Full-stack Engineer 5 to drive cloud-native, resilient systems within the Cloud Operations Resilience Engineering (CORE) division in Plano. You will lead distributed microservices and full-stack development, mentor engineers, and influence platform roadmaps.

Requires 6+ years in software engineering, 3+ years on public clouds (AWS/GCP/Azure), and hands-on work with Java, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS tools for scalable, secure solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
• Mentor other engineers and participate in internal/external technology communities.
• Collaborate with product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions and drive customer impact.
