Job summary

Pb Consulting is seeking a senior software engineer to develop robust full-stack applications using JavaScript, React, and Golang. You will design APIs, build microservices, and optimize integrations while ensuring reliability and performance in production.

You will collaborate with Product, QA, and Engineering in an Agile/Scrum setting, contributing to code reviews, architectural decisions, and modernization efforts. Strong SQL skills and experience with distributed systems are essential.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong full-stack development experience with a 50/50 frontend and backend focus.
• Advanced JavaScript, preferably Vanilla JavaScript.
• Strong Golang development experience or ability to ramp up quickly.
• Experience with React.
• Strong SQL and relational database fundamentals.
• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar databases.
• Experience with Elasticsearch.
• Strong experience with Microservices and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of distributed systems and enterprise-scale applications.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop full-stack applications using JavaScript, React, and Golang.
• Design, build, and optimize APIs, microservices, and integrations.
• Work with relational databases and search technologies, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and Elasticsearch.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability and performance.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design, and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and Engineering teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Support production releases, platform modernization, and technical debt reduction.
• Contribute technical recommendations and improvements to development processes and tooling.
