Job summary

GDIT is seeking a Sr. Full Stack Engineer to support NIH/NHLBI software portfolio. You will deliver innovative solutions, improve existing codebases, and reduce technical debt while guiding the team to better productivity.

The role requires expertise across Java, JavaScript, SQL, and Azure cloud services, with experience in Agile environments and CI/CD pipelines. You will collaborate across the SDLC, contribute to architecture decisions, and help create scalable, maintainable software that

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/IS/Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Java, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Experience with Material UI/React.
• Experience with Jenkins or GitHub Actions (CI/CD).
• Experience working with and improving existing code bases.
• Experience in an Agile software development environment.
• Experience leveraging Azure cloud services and Azure DB (Cosmos, SQL Server).

Responsibilities

• Work across the software life cycle with emphasis on design and development.
• Contribute to all parts of the application and testing stack.
• Collaborate to realize system requirements and provide custom implementations.
• Explain high-leverage decisions about architecture and software development.
• Support a development team’s activities for clean, maintainable, testable code.
• Contribute to all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (Requirements, Design, Development, Testing).
