Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming, SOLID principles, design patterns, clean code, and asynchronous programming.
• Experience designing, developing, and consuming REST APIs; GraphQL, event‑driven systems, and microservices are a plus.
• Strong analytical, debugging, problem‑solving, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and own deliverables from development through production.
• Polyglot programming across multiple languages and frameworks.
• Strong experience with PHP and modern PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or similar.
• Strong experience with Python and frameworks such as Django, Flask, FastAPI, or similar.
• Experience with additional languages such as Java, Go, Ruby, or similar is a strong plus.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests for backend and full‑stack applications.
• Experience with modern component‑based development, state management, routing, forms, API integration, authentication, error handling, caching, and client‑side state management.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, implement, document, maintain, and support features across SaaS applications.
• Build and maintain reusable, accessible, secure, and scalable front‑end and back‑end components.
• Write clean, well‑documented, testable code following architectural and engineering best practices.
• Contribute to technical vision and lead feature design with long‑term impact and production readiness in mind.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Product Owners to refine requirements.
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and mentor junior/mid‑level developers.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues across non‑production and production environments.
• Use cloud‑first technologies, CI/CD, automation, monitoring, logging, and SRE to improve delivery and reliability.
• Coordinate with Infrastructure on technical debt, deployments, and modernization initiatives.
• Drive or contribute to architectural decisions involving patterns, tech selection, security, data design, and integration approaches.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends and evaluate tools, frameworks, languages, and AI‑assisted development practices.
• Use approved AI tools as active components to accelerate development; critique AI output for security and correctness.
• Implement secure authentication/authorization (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, etc.).
• Handle keys, tokens, and sensitive data per secure coding and OWASP principles.
• Implement monitoring, testing, and safe deployment strategies to improve reliability.
• Use feature flags and incremental rollouts to reduce production risk.
• Contribute to delivery commitments and perform other duties as assigned.
