Job summary

Proximity seeks experienced Full Stack Engineers with Android and backend Go/Java expertise to build and scale Fire TV IAP and subscription capabilities. You’ll work across Android/Fire TV apps and backend services, delivering high-concurrency systems for large events.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Android development experience with Kotlin/Java.
• Backend experience with Go or Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing REST APIs and microservices.
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and data modeling.
• Ability to scale systems for high concurrency and traffic spikes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Android / Fire TV applications and backend services.
• Build features using Kotlin/Java with focus on performance and reliability.
• Develop scalable backend services in Go or Java and REST APIs.
• Integrate with payment, subscription and entitlement workflows.
• Implement IAP flows, including purchases, renewals and cancellations.
• Ensure observability, monitoring and troubleshooting across stack.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end features.
