Job summary

Intuit is hiring for a senior/lead software engineer to join the Capital & Lending team in Mountain View. You’ll design and implement cloud-native, AI-powered SaaS features across the full stack, with 70% time spent coding and 30% shaping technical direction.

Expect collaboration with product, design, QE, and other engineering teams on scalable, secure services. You’ll work with Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot on the backend, and React/TypeScript on the frontend, deploying on Kubernetes and AWS.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing and developing online SaaS applications with full-stack expertise.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong back-end expertise in Java and/or Kotlin with Spring Boot.
• Strong front-end expertise with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
• 5+ years building and consuming web APIs (REST, gRPC/GraphQL) and designing service interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Drive significant technical initiatives end-to-end across the stack.
• Architect and build scalable, secure cloud-native applications.
• Stay hands-on — ~70% coding — while setting technical direction.
• Lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and guide a small team.
• Lead requirements gathering, technical design, and test planning.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI and coach the team on AI tools.
• Take AI-powered features to production and measure impact.
• Champion engineering quality: testing, CI/CD, observability, security.
• Communicate through docs and design reviews with cross-functional teams.
• Own quality across QA, pre-prod, production, and post-release.
