Job summary

Intuit Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join the Capital & Lending team in Mountain View. You will build cloud-native, AI-powered software across backend, frontend, and data services, shaping end-to-end features and platform capabilities.

You will spend substantial time coding while guiding architecture, mentoring engineers, and driving technical direction in a collaborative, Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing and developing online SaaS apps across front end and back end.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong back-end with Java and/or Kotlin and Spring Boot.
• Strong front-end with JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• 5+ years building and consuming web APIs (REST, gRPC, GraphQL).
• Full SDLC knowledge and architectural experience.
• Experience with automated testing, TDD, and CI/CD.
• Strong technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end technical initiatives across the stack.
• Architect scalable, cloud-native applications and services.
• Remain hands-on: ~70% coding while guiding tech direction.
• Lead design, mentor engineers, and guide a small team.
• Lead requirements, design, and project/test planning.
• Identify AI opportunities and coach the team on AI tools.
• Deploy AI features to production and measure impact.
• Champion testing, CI/CD, observability, security, and accessibility.
• Document clearly and collaborate with product, QE, and design.
• Own quality across QA, pre-prod, production, and post-release.
