Job summary

Fundamental is seeking a Full-Stack Engineer in the United States to build end-to-end systems that connect users with our AI models. You’ll own both backend services and frontend interfaces, enabling data upload, model interaction, and scalable pipelines using Python, FastAPI, and modern JavaScript frameworks.

You’ll collaborate with ML, MLOps, and product teams to deliver robust, maintainable code and responsive UX while supporting scalable deployment architectures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in full-stack roles
• Strong Python with FastAPI/ASGI
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks (React/Vue/Angular)
• Experience designing event-driven architectures with pub/sub
• Experience with model serving patterns (REST, gRPC, async batching) and large-scale inference
• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL and cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks)
• Experience with state management, session persistence, and distributed data flows
• Proven ability to deliver maintainable frontend code and collaborate with product teams

Responsibilities

• Build backend services and APIs for model inference with efficient batching
• Implement state management and session persistence for consistent user experiences
• Develop responsive frontends using modern frameworks
• Design event-driven architectures for asynchronous processing and scalability
• Develop database connectivity and integrate with third-party data sources (Snowflake, Databricks)
• Create error handling, retries, and monitoring for reliability
• Collaborate with MLOps/DevOps to optimize architecture and deployment pipelines
