Job summary

Cogniify, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver scalable software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive full lifecycle development, and integrate AI/ML components to enhance product capabilities.

You will guide architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and ensure quality through testing, monitoring, and CI/CD practices in a fast-paced, learning-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with full software development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing and deployment.
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems and microservices at scale.
• Deep knowledge of at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP) with AI/ML service experience.
• Strong leadership, collaboration skills, and ability to guide small engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain software components, APIs, and UIs with clean, efficient code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
• Translate requirements into designs and functional logic during project discovery.
• Drive CI/CD, automated testing, deployment, and monitoring throughout the lifecycle.
• Integrate AI/ML components and leverage tools to boost productivity.
• Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, and influence technical direction.
• Monitor performance and ensure timely delivery with quality standards.
• Lead architectural design discussions and technology selection decisions.
• Design event-driven, microservices, and serverless architectures for high availability.
• Advocate for best practices in code reviews, testing, and observability.
• Explore emerging technologies and AI tools to improve solutions.
• Align technical solutions with business goals through collaboration with stakeholders.
