Job summary

MISUMI Americas, a division of MISUMI Group, is hiring a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to build scalable AI-enabled manufacturing services from Schaumburg, IL. Lead design, development, and deployment of full-stack solutions on AWS and Vercel.

The role requires 3-6 years of full-stack experience, proficiency in Node.js/React/Next.js, and strong AWS expertise. Collaboration, quality assurance, and security know-how are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years of relevant full-stack engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services, including SQS, Lambda, EC2, RDS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, AWS File Transfer Family, and Amazon Bedrock
• Demonstrated ability to develop, version, and maintain applications, microservices, and APIs with clean, maintainable, and efficient code
• Commitment to quality through unit and integration testing (Jest required; Vitest a plus)
• Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases
• Proficiency with Datadog for monitoring, logging, and performance analysis
• Experience deploying, scaling, and securing modern web applications on AWS and Vercel
• Ability to analyze and understand existing applications across front-end and back-end layers, including reverse-engineering legacy or undocumented code
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools - code generation, testing, debugging, and solution design - while upholding quality and development standards
• Proven ability to take ownership of ambiguous tasks and projects, providing direction and driving them to completion
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple timelines and deliver on schedule
• Experience with distributed systems, caching, and security fundamentals (OWASP Top 10) is a strong plus
• .NET development experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Write clean, well-tested code across the full stack. Build highly available, business-critical services in AWS using Node.js and event-driven architectures.
• Delivery: ship high-quality, defect-free code with tests and documentation from design through deployment with minimal oversight.
• Collaborate with adjacent teams and stakeholders to clarify requirements and unblock progress.
• Contribute to technical design reviews and serve as a resource other engineers can rely on.
• Maintain and contribute to the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance.
