Hive Collective is a profitable LegalTech SaaS company seeking a hands-on senior software engineer to join a lean team that values work-life balance. You will build and maintain full-stack systems, using AI as a daily collaborator, while delivering reliable software with a pragmatic, optimistic approach.

You’ll design, ship features, ensure system health, and collaborate across teams. Strong Python/Django and React skills are required, with GraphQL and AWS familiarity preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development delivering production systems.
• Experience using AI coding agents as part of regular workflow.
• Strong Python/Django and React experience with modern web tooling.
• Familiarity with GraphQL, Apollo/Relay, and integrating third-party services.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, ship, and support full-stack systems end to end with a lean backend.
• Use AI tools as part of development, planning, and implementation.
• Maintain health of existing systems while delivering new features.
• Write scalable, testable code and ensure cross-browser/mobile compatibility.
• Build automated test coverage and participate in on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with peers on system design and long-term maintainability.
