Job summary

Affir is hiring for a senior backend/full-stack engineer to set technical direction, own end-to-end features and raise the bar on reliability. You’ll collaborate across product, design, risk and operations to turn customer pain points into scalable solutions, with a modern stack including AI components and secure architectures.

You will lead by example, mentor teams, and help drive major features from problem shaping through production monitoring.

Qualifications

• This is a full-stack role requiring 8+ years designing and launching backend systems at scale.
• Experience with distributed systems and modern tech stacks is required.
• Strong communication across product, design and analytics is essential.

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy for your team on a year-long horizon.
• Collaborate across product, design, and analytics to ensure sustainability and risk management.
• Define and advocate technical solutions and operational processes.
• Own team operations, monitoring, playbooks, testing and on-call readiness.
• Set code and design standards and promote quality across teams.
• Mentor teammates and lead by example.
