Job summary

Sigma Software is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join a team building an AI-driven biomanufacturing platform that helps life sciences companies improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce waste. You will own features end-to-end, collaborate with ML scientists, and drive scalable backend and frontend solutions in a fast-growing environment.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of full stack experience, strong Python/TypeScript skills, cloud proficiency, and comfort with regulated

Qualifications

5+ years of commercial full stack software engineering experience.
Strong Python or TypeScript backend development skills.
Experience with frontend development and modern web technologies.
Relational databases, API design and distributed systems expertise.
Production-grade software delivery with scalability and reliability focus.
Strong software architecture and engineering best practices.
Experience with AWS, GCP or Azure cloud platforms.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Upper-intermediate or higher English level.
Ownership from problem discovery to solution delivery.
Experience in regulated environments (GxP, GMP, HIPAA).
Familiarity with AI/ML integrations or LLM-powered products.
Background in life sciences, pharmaceutical, or biomanufacturing.
DevOps practices and infrastructure automation experience.

Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable Full Stack features for the AI biomanufacturing platform.
Own product functionality end-to-end from architecture to production deployment.
Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and frontend interfaces.
Collaborate with ML Scientists and Data Engineers to integrate AI capabilities into the platform.
Ensure engineering excellence through code reviews, testing, and technical documentation.
Mentor Junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.
Communicate directly with pharma clients and domain experts to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Improve platform reliability, scalability, and performance.
