Job summary

Sigma Software is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join a team building an AI-driven biomanufacturing platform that helps life sciences companies improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce waste. You will own features end-to-end, collaborate with ML scientists, and drive scalable backend and frontend solutions in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial full stack software engineering experience.
• Strong Python or TypeScript backend development skills.
• Experience with frontend development and modern web technologies.
• Relational databases, API design and distributed systems expertise.
• Production-grade software delivery with scalability and reliability focus.
• Strong software architecture and engineering best practices.
• Experience with AWS, GCP or Azure cloud platforms.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Upper-intermediate or higher English level.
• Ownership from problem discovery to solution delivery.
• Experience in regulated environments (GxP, GMP, HIPAA).
• Familiarity with AI/ML integrations or LLM-powered products.
• Background in life sciences, pharmaceutical, or biomanufacturing.
• DevOps practices and infrastructure automation experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable Full Stack features for the AI biomanufacturing platform.
• Own product functionality end-to-end from architecture to production deployment.
• Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and frontend interfaces.
• Collaborate with ML Scientists and Data Engineers to integrate AI capabilities into the platform.
• Ensure engineering excellence through code reviews, testing, and technical documentation.
• Mentor Junior engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.
